Registration Process

• Important Dates:
  • Advanced Registration ends on October 1, 2008.
  • Registration ends on October 19, 2008.
  • Reservation changes by coaches are NOT permitted after 23:59:59 on October 19, 2008.

• Team Registration:
  • Identify the three students who will compete. This is usually done with a local programming contest, but the particular selection mechanism is not prescribed by the ECNA RPC Rules.
  • Verify eligibility of each student. Please refer to the Eligibility Decision Tree to more easily determine eligibility.
  • Identify a faculty sponsor who will certify the proper composition of the team.
  • Identify a team coach who will ideally accompany the team to the satellite site. The team coach may be the same person as the faculty sponsor.
  • Have the team coach set up a registration account through the "Compete" link on the ACM-ICPC Website.
  • Have the team coach complete the team registration procedure through the "Compete" link on the ACM-ICPC Website. Please note that team coaches can make changes to their team reservations as they wish from the time of registration until 23:59:59 on October 19, 2008. However, reservation changes by coaches are not permitted after 23:59:59 on October 19, 2008.
  • Have the team coach send the correct registration fees to the Regional Contest Director as explained in the Fees and Billing section of this Website.

• Remarks:

  • The "Pending" status is given to all teams who are registered but have not paid the registration fees yet. Once the proper registration fees are received by the Regional Contest Director, the registration for that team will be confirmed by changing the status to "Accepted" on the Web.
  • Space is limited to the number of computers we have dedicated for the Contest at the four sites. Therefore, no institution is allowed to register for more than two teams without the prior approval of the Regional Contest Director.
  • In order to prepare well for the contest, we need to know who is coming and who is not as early as possible. We also need contestant information especially T-shirt sizes. So, your cooperation is crucial to the success of the Contest.
